Earnest's CEO, Jim, believes that true skin beauty is as much about what you put into your body as it is about external care.
After experimenting himself a plant based diet rich in high-fiber foods like oats, flax, chickpeas, peas, and soy, he noticed a remarkable improvement on his skin. His goal is to bridge that gap by making healthy, minimally processed whole foods appealing & establish a direct connection to skin beauty aspirations, enticing customers to choose nutritious foods over costly skincare treatments.
As a Canadian agri-food exporter committed to championing premium-quality Canadian ingredients and value-added food products, Earnest aims to create diverse offerings based on high-fiber foods.
With this mission in mind, I designed a versatile brand identity that can evolve with their expanding product line while embodying the values Jim is passionate about sharing with the world.
The first packaging we designed was for maple syrup bottles.
Jim's constraint was to use white plastic bottles, presenting the challenge of creating a chic, natural vibe, and maintain high-quality packaging design despite the material limitation.
Another challenge was incorporating bilingual text (english and french) while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic and avoiding a cluttered look.

Out of the four design propositions I created, three were selected for testing, and one of them is set to be commercialized soon.
In the first design, four different labels with gradient variations were made to represent the four different tastes
& intensity of the maple syrup.
On the other designs, the intensity is simply shown through a color tag around the aromatic description.
